R/T Single 10" Slot Vented Speaker Enclosure - MTX Review

I am using this enclosure to house a Boston Acoustics 10" subwoofermatched with a 300 Watt RMS Alpine mono sub amp...the speaker itself weighs in at over 18 pounds....a very good match for this speaker enclosure.

This enclosure is extremely well built and solid...and heavy...very high quality formed wood....the port is exceptional...giving a very smooth depth that is warm and comparable to home speakers.....it is capable of easily achieving loud volume levels...the kick drum and toms come thru very realistic...with a 15" depth....this box will accomodate just about anything you want to pop in it....and the inside dimentions of the speaker chamber are one cubic foot...very compact

on the downside....you will need wood screws to mount the speaker and wiring inside to hooke up the speaker to the rear terminals..which are pretty good quality.

all in all....an oustanding cabinet and a great deal for the price......

Kenwood KFC-6982IE 6-Inch x 9-Inch 500-Watt Max Power 5-Way Speaker System Review

I was totally shocked to ever find a 5-way 6x9, especially Kenwood. This speaker sounds awesome! Killer bass, great mids, crisp highs.The only thing I wasn't happy with is the grills. They are too bulky, very unsightly. In fact I replaced them with some 15 year old Kenwood grills I had in a box! Can't wait to get my Kenwood amp installed to see how these speakers do with some real power, but I believe they will perform as expected or better.

This one certainly saves space(if space is your main concern). My car(Dodge Stealth) has little trunk to spare anything so this box comes handy. It has some sort of deep bass but does not have a punch to it. If you are looking just a bass to add to your stereo, this will definitely do the job.I hook it up to my 1000 Watts Amp and 50x4 Power Acoustic DVD/Stereo and it sounds great. I like it. 6X93WAY 50WRMS FORMULA SERIES Review

I bought these 6x9s along with a pair of Discus tweeters and put them in my Malibu. My friends can hardly believe that I got both of these speakers for under a hundred bucks. The 6x9s are very clear all around, good (surprising) bass response, clear highs, no muddiness, just great sounding speakers. (This is behind an old Sony Xplod head unit.) The included hardware was of good quality and the packaging and presentation was also very nice; looking at everything you'd probably guess these speakers cost $120+. I guess they are made in China but obviously MB Quart has selected a factory that takes quality seriously. I'd say if you are looking for some good sounding, quality 6x9s but are on a tight budget, you can't go wrong with these speakers.
